The internal regulations are one of the fundamental documents of corporate life. Defined by Article 75 of Law No. 90-11 on labour relations, they are mandatory in any employing organisation with 20 or more permanent workers.
They set out the general and permanent rules on discipline, hygiene and safety measures, the disciplinary regime and defence rights. Without up-to-date internal regulations, the employer cannot legally discipline an employee.
The main reasons for updating internal regulations: changes in labour legislation (mandatory compliance), organisational changes (restructuring, new activities), and new issues (remote working, harassment, data protection).
The revision procedure involves consulting staff representatives, obtaining the visa of the competent labour inspector and posting in an accessible location. The INT supports companies in this process: contact us at juridique@int.dz.
